Delayed, Not Defeated
Hey everyone! I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted. Life threw some unexpected curveballs my way, but as always, I’ve adapted and adjusted. Despite everything, I'm still committed to sharing my insights with you. I shied away from expressing myself for the longest time, especially during tough times. Let’s be honest: who wants to share their sad moments or failed plans? I certainly didn't. But I've learned that life is full of peaks and valleys. The most important thing to remember is that when you're in a valley, keep nurturing your soul, let go of your ego, stay committed to your purpose, and strive for your goals no matter how many times you get knocked down. In these moments of resilience, we find our true strength and the power to overcome.
Recently, I've had to step into new roles that felt daunting and beyond my comfort zone. I questioned my abilities, but deep down, I knew I had the potential to succeed. Embracing uncertainty and giving myself grace in these situations has been a game-changer. It's not always easy, but it's through these challenges that we grow and discover new opportunities.
All my life, I’ve been more of a behind-the-scenes person, helping others achieve their goals and avoiding the spotlight. There have been times I wondered if anyone knew how hard it was for me to be this vulnerable and whether this path was sustainable. Every time I felt anxiety rising, threatening to shut me down, a small voice inside urged me to keep going. It reminded me that the right doors would open and the right people would engage with me. Breaking down old barriers that kept me limited and ashamed of my gifts hasn't been easy, but it has made me a more loving, compassionate, and open person—someone I’m incredibly proud of. Finding myself on this journey has allowed me to push past the pain of my mistakes and embrace the joy of the present moment. Remember, it's in our vulnerabilities that our true strength and beauty lie.
There have been moments when I felt delayed and forgotten, thinking that life wasn't working out as planned, and these times brought many days of reflection and clarity. Now, at 34, I am finally doing meaningful work that aligns with my God-given purpose. This realization gives new meaning to the saying: it’s never too late to become who you’re meant to be, dream a new dream, or start over. When pursuing new things, I've learned that God may respond in three ways: Yes, No, or Not Yet. Yes, it provides a clear path to your next goal. No means it’s time to pursue another direction, but keep seeking God’s guidance. Not Yet allows us to keep working towards our dreams, trusting that God’s timing is perfect. So, trust in the timing of your life's events, and you'll find peace in the journey.
If you’re feeling stuck, waiting for your moment, remember this: even in delay, you're not defeated if you're following your true purpose. Your dreams are worth fighting for, and you deserve the best life has to offer. Don’t settle or shrink to fit into someone else's expectations. Show up as your authentic self, with confidence and poise, knowing that your uniqueness is a gift to the world. The right opportunities will come, challenging and inspiring you. Embrace your greatness and continue to grow where you're planted.
